Class Expectations and Requirements
Be on time in your seat when the bell rings. Stay on task the entire class period Bring all materials to class each day Respect for each other as well as the teacher and all school materials and equipment. No Personal Electronics unless specified for a specific assignment during class. Exhibit self control
Grading Procedures
Grades will be posted online regularly. I believe this is extremely important for each of my students AND their parents to keep up to date on progress. The student is responsible for any work that they need to make up during any absence from class. My goal is learning not punishment. Most projects and reports will be graded using a rubric given to the students at the time they are assigned.
Participation grading This is a daily grade based upon one point each for the following :
In seat before bell finishes ringing
Bringing all materials needed each day and having them visible on your work area (desk) as the teacher takes roll. Book ,folder, notebook writing utensil etc.
Staying on task the entire period. Being respectful of others and their belongings. Not interrupting for asking to leave class for unnecessary issues.
Turning all work in on time
Cleaning up your work area and remaining in your seat until excused.
Typically grading will be as follows: Class participation and classwork 30% Assignments and Projects 50% Tests and Quizzes 20%
